Portrait of Luukke

Luukke is a composer and musician exploring electronic and electroacoustic compositions. His music is restrained and patient, evolving and transformative. Built to draw out latent emotional states and give rise to dreamlike visions where memory, colour and imagination intersect.

Born in 1996 in the North-West of England, he began his musical explorations in his teenage years on the electric guitar before his interest in abstracting the instrument through pedals naturally drew him to synthesising sound. By his mid 20s he began exploring modular synthesis and tape music techniques; and in 2025 he began working with the Serge synthesiser, which has become a focal point in his music.

He composes for film, and has had his films showcase at the Cannes Film Festival, Budapest International Shot Film Festival, Edinburgh Short Film Festival and Flickerfest in Australia.

His live performances take the concepts of his 'visual' compositions and approaches the concept through the lens of improvisation and looping; crafting visual narratives in real time. While usually performing in stereo, he adapts his works to Quadraphonic sound where possible.
